Scientific Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) are designed to overcome many challenges associated with deep-sea environments. In this activity, students will use the “Building SOI’s New 4500m ROV” video playlist from Schmidt Ocean Institute to discover how engineers, designers, and scientists work together to develop scientific Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) capable of exploring and studying deep-sea environments.
